Exports to WAEMU represented 18.3% of the total value of Senegal's merchandise exports during the month of December 2021. The share of products sent to Mali, the main destination of Senegal's exports to the Union, is fell from 54.1% to 51.1% over the period, i.e. a loss of market share of 3.0 percentage points. Cement remains the main product exported to Mali with a share estimated at 18.7% in December 2021.
