The Gabonese Commercial Reinsurance Company (SCG-Ré) will join the Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC) nearly 10 years after the IPO of Siat Gabon. It intends to sell 20% of the shares of the State on its share capital of 10 billion CFA francs.

The foundations now seem laid to allow the company ranked 19th out of 47 African reinsurance companies to calmly pursue its BVMAC introduction. The Gabonese Commercial Reinsurance Company (SCG-Ré), a subsidiary of the Gabonese Strategic Investment Fund (FGIS) is aiming for an IPO before the end of 2022, in the Central African sub-region. Its objective is to achieve “more financial flexibility to pursue its above-average organic growth strategy and its value-creating acquisitions”.
