President Paul Biya has authorized the borrowing of an additional 200 billion francs through a D& Eacute; signed on August 23, 2022. Thus, the Minister of Finance was instructed to issue public securities, including treasury bonds, on behalf of the Government, for a maximum additional amount of 200 billion CFA francs, to finance development projects listed in Law No. 2022/011 of July 14, 2022.” The 200 billion FCFA are intended to finance certain targeted projects, which should contribute effectively to improving the living conditions of populations.
