This performance is linked to the increase in key rates by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
The BCEAO informs that the refinancing requests of the Union's banks were served at a minimum rate of 2.25% during the month of July 2022. As for the interbank market, it added that the weighted average interest rate on the one-week maturity was 2.69% during the period under review, up 15 basis points from its level in June 2022.
