Liberia submitted its revised 2021 nationally determined contribution and is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to the & High; economy scale of 64% below the expected level of the status quo by 2030.

Liberia's efforts to reduce national emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change have been recognized. Thus, the Government of Liberia has been shortlisted for the 2022 Nationally Determined Contribution Investment Awards (NDCs) in Africa. For good reason, he has initiated ambitious investment projects that will contribute to his commitment to the Paris Agreement.

In fact, the country's revised CDN was developed based on GHG mitigation goals in nine key sectors, including agriculture, forests, coastal zones, fisheries, health, transport, industry, energy and waste, as well as cross-cutting objectives for urban green corridors. As a result, it is among the top 100 shortlisted NDC projects announced. Nationally, the investments for determined contributions in Africa were launched in June 2022 at the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in Kigali.

On November 8, the NDC Investment Awards ceremony will take place during COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt with the collaboration of the host partners, the African Bank D&# 39; investment in green infrastructure. “We are very excited about this new series of African Investor Awards for African NDC project sponsors, developers, financers and investors.” Said Dr. Hubert Danso, president of the Africa Investor Group and chairman of the NDC Investment Awards selection committee.
