The CBN plans a total of 7740 agents in order to integrate a number of people into the database on the enAIRA platform. According to a CBN consultant, Dr. Aminu Bizi, the CBN had provided a 5% grant to those who use the digital currency platform. “The CBN decided that a client would benefit from a 5% subsidy. The CBN will give you a 5% grant. Electronically, the Keke NAPEP using the platform will receive an instant 5% discount if a passenger pays N100. The Keke NAPEP will have N100, plus the 5%,” he said.

Therefore, he notes that the passenger would also benefit from a 5% discount. For him, the essence of the awareness program is to show the Nigerian at the grassroots how EnAIRA works.

Enaira is actually the CBN's digital currency, which is legal tender supported by law. On the side of Hajiya Rakiya Mohammed, the coordinator's representative, Enaira Technical Working Committee, the essence of the awareness-raising exercise was to educate Nigerians about the digital currency and to integrate them on the platform.
