Luanda — Sonangol and the National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) signed on Thursday, in Luanda, two cooperation agreements aimed at improving the production and operation of these public entities, as well as strengthening their relations .

Among the contracts, the first aims to support the transition of the concessionaire function, while the second is responsible for the crude oil agency.

The agreements were signed by the presidents of Sonangol and ANPG, Gaspar Martins and Paulino Jerónimo, respectively.

According to the press release to which Angop had access on Thursday, the transition support agreement will contribute to the effective start of the ANPG and the proper functioning of the support areas and avoid the disruption of its functions and works in develop by the national concessionaire.

The second, the document indicates, establishes that Sonangol markets the oil of the national concessionaire, in the sense that the ANPG recognizes Sonangol's competence in the matter and the resulting mandate.

The meeting, in which Sonangol's newly elected chairman and directors received their ANPG counterparts, lasted about two hours and aimed to review the process of transferring the concessionaire function from Sonangol to the Agency.
