The Insurance Regulation and Control Authority (ARCA) states in a report made public on Tuesday July 5 that from 2019 to 2021, the insurance market in the DRC has grown from 70 million to nearly 220 million USD.

"After 3 years, we have left a market that was, before 2019, at 70 million dollars and 3 years, in 2021, it is a market that is at nearly 220 million dollars. We had 4 operators in 2019, today we have 10 insurance companies. Plus brokers, we have 39 operators who are in the market. This means that we have a market that lives, we have a market where operators with capacities are present and can meet the needs of the population and accompany the population", explained Alain Kanyinda.explained Alain Kanyinda, Director General of ARCA during the conference on the state of the insurance market, held this same Tuesday in Kinshasa. He recalled that the objective of ARCA is to develop a dynamic market, inclusive, fair and consistent with international standards.
