The Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) was marked this week by a surge in transactions. Thus, at the end of the trading session on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, transactions increased sharply by 593.874 million FCFA.

The total value of these transactions reached 805.994 million, after 723,854 million FCFA on Tuesday, September 6, and 212,120 million FCFA on Monday, September 5. The stock market capitalization stood at 6159.553 billion FCFA against 6,147,217 billion FCFA the day before, an increase of 12.336 billion FCFA. The bond market grew by 1.44 billion to 8194.556 billion FCFA against 8193.116 billion FCFA the day before.

On the two counts, it's back to the better after several days of contrasts. Thus, the BRVM composite index (general stock market index) rose by 0.20% to 204.62 points against 204.21 points the day before. As for the BRVM 10 index (index of the 10 leading stocks), it gained 0.22% to 162.08 points compared to 161.72 points the day before.
