A capacity building workshop for security forces, local authorities and financial institutions had took place on Monday September 29, 2025 in Cotonou. The workshop was launched by the Cell National Financial Information Processing Authority (CENTIF).

The workshop that will take End of Friday, October 3, 2025 contributes to the strengthening of understanding of participants on the financing of terrorism. It is an opportunity for representatives of the various structures to share their experiences for improving the synergy of action in detection, prevention and suppression of the financing of terrorism.

According to President of CENTIF, Bello Abdou Rafiou, “the fight against the financing of Terrorism remains a major challenge for our states.” For the latter, this fight “requires constant vigilance, close cooperation between different national institutions and regional solidarity and international”. Bello Abdou Rafiou assures that CENTIF, as an organ central for the collection, analysis and transmission of financial intelligence, will continue to play its full role in the system.
