A total of fourteen African countries are committed to boosting cross-border securities trading. They have created a unified platform for securities trading, enabling cross-border trading across the continent.

The new system, called the African Exchanges Linkage Project (AELP), will allow investors to access all securities in the system, facilitating cross-border trading. It is expected to stimulate pan-African investment and help increase liquidity.
