The pandemic, Togo is raising the stakes and wants to mobilize 400 billion FCFA, to face the
economic consequences related to Covid19.
This important envelope, in the form of a National Solidarity and Economic Recovery Fund,
has just been announced by the Togolese Head of State, at a recent address to the nation.
"No Togolese will be left behind in this battle that we are waging together. " says
indeed Faure Gnassingbé. "That's why I asked the government to study all the
possibilities that can allow us to best protect economic activity from the consequences of the
crisis. »
Thus, this envelope, which represents nearly 30% of the 2020 budget (at just over 1400 billion)
will be used to finance all of the government's socio-economic measures, to support
companies in particular SMIs/SMEs affected by the consequences of the pandemic.
The entire pot will be mobilized on the one hand from the State itself, the country
36 cases in Togo, including 2 deaths.
Moreover, let us remember that the Coronavirus crisis presents a challenge not only human and health
(involving equipping oneself with medical equipment, tools and rapid test kits, and deploying mobile labs,
