Orabank Togo becomes the first Togolese banking institution to refinance itself on the UEMOA market. The subsidiary of the Oragroup group signed its listing on the Regional Stock Exchange of the Member States of UEMOA (BRVM) last Thursday with a bond loan closed in December 2021.

The original bond loan operation will increase the bank's intervention capabilities in order to meet the financing needs of the Togolese economy. “It will also allow us to support the government in the implementation of national projects in sectors such as agriculture and women's empowerment,” said Guy Martial Awona, the director general of Orabank-Togo. Oragroup is present in 12 countries in West and Central Africa.
