On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, the African Development Bank Group approved a $400,000 technical assistance grant to the Caisse des dépôts et consignations de Côte d'Ivoire (CDC-CI, a state-owned bank in charge of official deposits).

Funded by the Capital Markets Development Trust Fund, a multi-donor fund administered by the African Development Bank, this grant will be used, according to Lassina Fofana, general manager of CDC-CI, to accelerate "the establishment of a new, more efficient and effective system of financial services for the Ivorian economy.the establishment of financing mechanisms for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in conjunction with the Ivorian banking and financial sectors, enterprises that create wealth and jobs, particularly for young people and women. Ahmed Attout, Head of the Capital Markets Development Division of the African Development Bank Group, goes further to explain that the goal is "to broaden and deepen the long-term financing ecosystem in our regional member countries.
