For a first participation in the Prize for peace and the promotion of economic integration in the ECOWAS zone, the journalist Issouf Kamagaté, correspondent of the economic magazine Financial Afrik in Côte d'Ivoire, was nominated in the category of "best journalist web for the promotion of peace and integration”.

This 2020 edition, the fourth of its kind, was marked by the award ceremony on December 19, 2020 during the Online Press Awards organized in Abidjan.

With his video report on the socio-political crisis entitled "Daoukro, the difficult quest for peace", journalist Jonas Baikey of 'L'Infodrome' won the prize for best web journalist. In addition to the trophy, the journalist left with an envelope of 700,000 FCFA (about 1300 USD) and a laptop. The second prize was awarded to Fofana Zoumana of the online newspaper Woroba.net, who received an envelope of 300,000, a computer and a trophy.

As a reminder, four nominees were in the starting block of this competition which was enhanced by the presence of the chief of staff of the Minister of Communication and the Media, and illustrious personalities from the press in Côte d'Ivoire, and who are competing in position the online press in the hands of the media.

Organized by the Network of Online Press Professionals of Côte d'Ivoire (Repprelci) with its president Lassina Sermé, the Online Press Awards were also marked by the distinction of the Samba prize which rewards the best digital press company . But, according to the president of the jury, Marceline ^Gneproust , given the non-respect of the criteria, no prize was awarded for this 4th edition.
