Côte d'Ivoire's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is valued at 60 billion US dollars, or over 39,420 billion CFA francs. That is 40% of the GDP of the West African Economic and Monetary Union and of the zone's exports.

The Ivorian Minister of Planning and Development, Kaba Nialé announced these figures during a debate on the theme “Industrialization and Economic Diversification in Africa & Raquo; organized as part of the 8th edition of the Tokyo International Conference on Development in Africa (Ticad 8) held from 26 to 28 August 2022 in Tunis (Tunisia). Thus, Côte d'Ivoire faces the challenge of the structural transformation of its economy, even if it has been very dynamic with an average annual growth of 8% over the period 2012-2019.

Côte d'Ivoire's National Development Plan (PND, 2021-2025) projects an average annual GDP growth rate of 7.65% with significant socio-economic investments by a co& Ucirc; total of 100 billion US dollars, three-quarters of which are expected from the private sector.
