The return of "lasting stability" to the Sahel is only possible if responses to the root causes of crises are provided. And for that, we must get out of the trap of Western aid to find the real development patterns.

Development aid is the most serious obstacle to the socio-economic emergence of African states. And above all, it is essentially budgetary and allows donors to safeguard the market share of their companies in our countries at the expense of national companies condemned to be just subcontractors.

All the strategies advocated by the West are aimed not only at securing their interests in Africa, but also at keeping our leaders at their mercy to dictate their will.

In any case, development aid is not the best development strategy for states, especially since it perpetuates our dependence on the imperialist powers through an increasingly heavy and oppressive debt.
