The third Directorate of Medium Enterprises of Centre-III (DME-CIII), located on the road to Kamboinsé, was officially inaugurated on the morning of Friday, May 15, 2020, in Ouagadougou. The Director General of Taxes, Moumouni Lougué, presided over the ceremony in the presence of the mayor of district No. 9, religious authorities and many other guests.

From Monday, May 18, 2020, it will be possible to pay taxes to the Directorate of Medium Enterprises of Centre-III (DME-CIII). This new infrastructure officially opened its doors on an R+3 building, on Friday, May 15, 2020, in Ouagadougou. It covers districts Nos. 2, 3, 4, 8 and 9 of the commune of Ouagadougou, and the rural communes of Pabré and Tanghin-Dassouri.

Thus, taxpayers of companies whose annual turnover is between 50 million and 1 billion CFA francs will be able to pay their taxes. According to the first official, this directorate has a portfolio of 1,308 taxpayers in total. Of the 1,308, only 700 taxpayers file regularly. " The others, we will identify their situation very soon ," continues Daouda Kirakoya.

This opening was an opportunity for the DME-CIII to explain the architecture of the new jewel. " The new management has about forty offices, because we have to reach 108 agents in full swing. There are large offices, small offices and medium offices as well ," he noted. The Director General of Taxes, Moumouni Lougué, for his part, set the challenge of the opening of a third DME-CIII.

" It is to strengthen the administration of taxpayers, deconcentrate the administration and ensure that all taxpayers can pay their taxes without many obstacles. That is the main reason. It is also for better tax management," he said. There are many expectations before the actual start of tax benefits. Since its first strategic plan, the DGI has placed taxpayer satisfaction at the centre of its concerns.

Thus, it will first be a question of satisfying taxpayers and then improving tax revenues. But for the moment, the forecasts assigned to this new direction have not been unveiled because at the level of the State budget, there is an amending finance law that must shortly be voted to revise downwards the budget forecasts, in addition to the economic recession following Covid-19. " We are waiting for all this before assigning the forecast to the DME-CIII ," Lougué said . Another sound of bell at the DME-CIII : " Regarding the forecasts, there will be a changeover from the weekend since our portfolio is 1,308. When we switch, we will know exactly the effective number. And from that moment on, the 92 billion CFA francs that must be distributed between the three directorates (the DME-CIII is a split between two directorates) will be made according to the potential of each ".

DME-CIII announces innovations

The ITB expects innovations from the new management to distinguish itself from other EMRs. In the presentation, Mr. Kirakoya showed that he shows imagination and innovation. We will build loyalty so that if you move, we can know that you are no longer in our area of action and that we hand you over to the competent management to manage you. There are also other elements that taxpayers will see as soon as they arrive here on Monday ," he said
As a reminder, the building housing the new DME-CIII is rented by the State. It required a repair that cost the lessor 200 million CFA francs.
