The pan-African banking group Ecobank, announced last week from its headquarters in Lomé, to have
made a contribution of approximately $3 million as part of the fight against Covid-19, across the entire
its network in Africa.
This support, provided "in the form of cash, equipment and the provision of health care", is added
also in awareness campaigns, or the use of its digital platform to
fund the accounts of the most vulnerable people.
In addition, the Bank has made certain banking fees free on its digital platforms.
“In our fight against this pandemic, we believe it is important not only to educate our
communities, but also to give them the means to protect themselves and their loved ones. »,
emphasizes Ade Ayeyemi, CEO of the Group.
It should also be remembered that the financial institution, based in more than thirty African countries, collaborates
also with the AU Development Agency, for accompaniment and support to SMEs in the
continent.
