Le Niger et la BOAD ont signé le 30 janvier 2023 des accords de prêt relatifs à cinq ( 5) priority projects for the Government of Niger. The signing was made between the country's Minister of Finance, Ahmat Jidoud, and the president of West African Development Bank ( BOAD ) , Serge Ekue.

The signing of the five agreements between Niger and BOAD involves a loan worth a total of 74.735 billion FCFA and a gift management agreement worth 15.906 billion FCFA. According to the Minister of Finance, the first loan agreement of 21.735 billion CFA relates to the partial financing of the 110 km Hamdara-Wacha-Dungass-Nigeria border road development and asphalting project. The second loan, worth 25 billion FCFA, covers the financing of the urban road development project in the city of Niamey, the development of the urban section of the RN25 and the rehabilitation of the Niamey-Nyala section.

The third loan agreement of 7 billion FCFA relates to the co-financing of the hydro-agricultural development project with smart farming practices that are resilient to climate change (PAHA-AIC). The fourth agreement, worth 10 billion FCFA, concerns the establishment of a loan to the State of Niger to relaunch the activities of ASUSU S.A. Then the fifth and last, worth 11 billion FCFA, covers the partial financing of the drinking water supply project in rural areas in the regions of Dosso, Maradi, Tahoua and Tillabéri.
