A press release was published on February 6, 2023 on the Fitch Ratings website notifying that the long-term national rating of the Moroccan Bank for Commerce and Industry (BMCI) based in Morocco at “AAA (mar)” is confirmed with a stable outlook. According to the agency, the ratings of the subsidiary of the French group BNP Paribas are based on the potential support of the latter, which has a 66.7% shareholder. According to him, “Fitch's assessment reflects BNPP's strong capacity and propensity to provide support to BMCI.”
