Held in Marrakech on July 19, the General Assembly of the Africa 50 Fund registered Cape Verde's membership.

Cape Verde's membership was unveiled on the sidelines of the Africa 50 Fund's General Meetings held on the eve of the US-Africa Business Summit. Cape Verde became the 32nd shareholder of the fund dedicated to financing infrastructure in Africa. Africa 50 now has 29 member countries in addition to three institutions: the Central Bank of Morocco (Bank Al Maghrib), the African Development Bank (ADB) and the Central Bank of West Africa (BCEAO).
