The FAFCI recorded an increase that is the result of the good behavior of beneficiaries in the region, who have a reimbursement rate of 97.40%, close to the national average who is 98%. Enabling women to access microcredits to finance their income-generating activities is the objective of the fund, which has a capital of 25 billion, and since its creation in 2012, it has benefited 325,000 women throughout the country.
Dominique Ouattara urged women to join this opportunity to be financially independent in order to “improve their living conditions.” By “giving more girls from the region the chance to benefit from FAFCI”, the Ivorian first lady means. This fund is thus available to all Ivorian women “without distinction of ethnic, political or religious affiliation and without financial security, endorsement or guarantee”.
