Bobo-Dioulasso hosted on Thursday, October 30, 2025 the 2nd ordinary session of the National Coordination for Combating fraud (CNLCF). Second of the year, this session focused on theme: “the digitization of release certificates consumption: issues and challenges for actors”.

The 2nd ordinary session of the CNLCF aims to lay the groundwork for the implementation of the reforms undertaken to dry up the fraud in Burkina Faso. The modernization of the administration as well as the traceability and the security of recipes is a priority of the Government of Burkina Faso. To do this, reforms have been undertaken in this dynamic, including the digitization of consumer certificates in order to to guarantee speed in the processing of files and to block the way fraud. In his speech, the national coordinator for the fight against fraud, Dr. Mohamadi Compaoré, recalled that digitalization is emerging as a “strategic tool” in the face of increasing fraud networks sophisticated.

For the representative of the minister in charge of the Economy, “the customs administration, recognized as a pivot of our trade and revenue mobilization took the initiative to act.” It is in this perspective, he continued, that the Directorate-General Customs Agency (DGD) took a “decisive” step on November 18, 2024, with the launch of the Consumer Certificate platform electronic (e-CMC). “The transition to e-CMC marks a paradigm shift. This digitalization aims to secure state revenues and to guarantee a better traceability”, indicated William Toé.
