Prices fell after China released data on Saturday showing factory activity in the world's second-largest economy contracted for a second month, to its lowest level since February 2020, due to COVID blockades.
Brent crude oil futures lost $1.13, or 1.1%, to $106.01 a barrel at 0511 GMT, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) U.S. crude oil futures lost $1, or 1%, to $103.69 a barrel. Markets in Japan, India and throughout Southeast Asia were closed due to public holidays on Monday.
