The African Development Bank (AfDB) organized from November 23 to 25, 2020, as part of its cooperation with Senegal, a virtual workshop on the theme of Institutional and Clinical Trust Capacity Building (RICF), APS learned. This webinar, coordinated by the African Development Institute (ECAD), was organized in collaboration with the Bank's country office in Senegal and several key departments concerned with the "acquisitions" themes, "Disbursements and financial management", "ethics" and "fight against corruption". According to a press release, this webinar aims to "strengthen the project management capacities of the various stakeholders, in this case the staff of the project implementation cells (FFS), in order to increase the performance of the Bank's portfolio and improve the development effectiveness of the Senegal''.

The same source reports that more than 70 people are taking part in this workshop, including senior officials from the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, the Ministry of Finance and Budget and relevant sectoral ministries as well as project coordinators and procurement officers, financial management and disbursement, and monitoring and evaluation of FFS. The organization of the RICF "aims to be preventive and participatory in order to maximize the development impact of Senegal's country program". It was expected "the acquisition of skills and the creation of a framework for dialogue allowing a better understanding and updating of knowledge of the rules, procedures, norms, standards and principles of the Bank by all stakeholders".
