This Friday, May 15, 2020, the WAEMU Stock Exchange (BRVM) organized its first virtual bell ringing ceremony. The participants all connected remotely. The guest of honor of the BRVM on this occasion, the Minister of Health and Public Hygiene of Côte d'Ivoire, Dr. Aouélé Eugène AKA, rang the bell for the closing of the market from Aboisso, 117 km from Abidjan. "This bell ringing shows our determination to stand in the way of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is for us to join our voice to that of our Authorities for the awareness of the populations of our Union on the reality of this pandemic whose gravity and foreseeable consequences raise important concerns, "said the Minister.

The BRVM and the DC/BR have put in place a safeguard plan since the beginning of the crisis that has allowed the normal continuation of our activities. We will continue to provide quality service to issuers, investors and our members while actively preparing for the post-COVID-19 recovery.
