UEMOA banks' own liquidity fell by 620.7 billion CFA francs in the month of June 2022. This information came from the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).

According to the BCEAO, this deterioration is dependent on the negative sums of all autonomous liquidity factors. In addition, their balance of transactions with the treasuries and other net factors came out ordered at -357.7 billion.

According to the explanations of the BCEAO, (-141.8 billion), balance of net banknote payments and (-121.2 billion), balance of net transfers with abroad have suffered a deterioration in their structural position of the liquidity of banks. Similarly, it indicates that the banks of UEMOA saw an evolution in their recourse to refinancing from the Central Bank (+249.8 billion) last June. As a result, bank liquidity ended in a fall of 370.9 billion.
