The Ghanaian government aims to improve the national economy and curb the rise in the cost of living, especially fuel and food. These same measures will, among other things, improve revenue collection from the current ratio of tax revenue to GDP from 13% to between 18 and 20%, and boost the country's economy. They will also make it possible to examine reforms in the energy sector, the implementation of the law on exemptions, the ceiling on statutory funds and the new property rate.
