The opening of the proceedings was chaired by Mamoudou Kassogué, Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Keeper of the Seals. For three days, participants will have exchanges to compare knowledge and experiences and share the best approaches to facilitate the harmonious application of the law on the suppression of cybercrime. " Cybercrime, since that is what it is all about, is a phenomenon that spares no nation, that knows no borders and that is characterized by its complexity in terms of prevention, legislation and repression ," said Minister Mamoudou Kassogué. Indeed, adds the Minister, the complexity and specificity of the phenomenon of cybercrime have led the Malian legislator to adopt Law No. 2019-056 of 5 December 2019 on the suppression of cybercrime. From then on, upgrading, through the continuing training of legal practitioners, in particular magistrates, had become a necessity.
