After two decades, the Mauritius Stock Exchange is making its second digital shift. This approach has been achieved by the Bourse thanks mainly to the help of the African Development Bank, which has given it the financial boost to enable it to take the final steps of this initiative.

Thanks to this new Fintech-inspired system, the Mauritius Stock Exchange is definitively removing from its course the effects of time and space constraints on its operations. Thanks to the mySEM application, it is possible during opening hours to give instructions on how to buy or sell securities listed in Mauritius from any part of the world.

The official launch of this digital shift required the installation of Avento, a new stock trading platform inspired by fintech's most recent contributions. This new system replaces the old one, SEMATS, which served the stock exchange for two decades.
