The Amadeus Institute's Attractiveness and Stability Indices measure the economic performance, social and environmental vulnerabilities, and political and security framework of all African countries through more than 70 indicators drawn from African and international databases.

In the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU), Côte d'Ivoire is the most attractive country with 62.33 points out of 100, followed by Senegal with 58 points and Burkina Faso with 54.05 points. After Benin, which is positioned just behind Burkina, Mali closes the UEMOA top 5 with 52.78 points. Niger, with 45.18 points out of 100, is the least attractive country in the zone.

In terms of stability, Senegal is in the lead in the zone with 61.9 points out of 100. Togo follows with 57.2 points. Benin does better by ranking 3rd, ahead of Côte d'Ivoire (54.4 points) and Niger (52 points). Guinea Bissau is the least stable country in the Union with a score of 49.8 points.
