On 24 January 2024, the African Development Bank approved a loan of 32.53 million euros to support phase 3 of the economic and social reform support programme.

Phase 3 of this programme aims to improve the efficiency and transparency of public expenditure in favour of disadvantaged populations by increasing access to basic social infrastructures and social inclusion actions. Indeed, this program will support measures aimed at better programming and evaluating public policies and strengthening the transparency of public expenditure.

The program will benefit the entire Ivorian population, especially) young people and women through the securing of social expenditure (health; education; youth employment; etc.) and the allocation of substantial resources to social sectors (more than 45% of resources allocated to pro-poor spending). Then the private sector, which will benefit from transparency and healthy competition in public procurement.
