The three non-refundable donation agreements, signed for an amount of 26 billion CFA francs, were initialed by the Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, Amadou Hott, and the German Ambassador to Senegal , Stephan Roken.

This technical and financial assistance from the German government , he continues, "is part of the new dynamic of cooperation between the two countries, which has developed significantly in recent years".

Wanting to be reassuring in this direction, he said: “Germany is committed to supporting Senegal in creating jobs, improving financing offers, formalizing businesses in the informal sector, as well as improving qualification of the workforce”.

In this outpouring of manifest generosity on the part of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany towards Senegal, Minister Amadou Hott will say: “In addition to a budget of 69 billion CFA francs to support the fight against the covid pandemic -19 in Senegal, Germany granted a donation of some 119.3 billion to the State of Senegal to encourage the continuation of its reforms and thus support private investment”.

Seizing this platform, Mr. Hott insisted on the need to initiate reforms in the business environment for better competitiveness of our economies in the post-covid-19 period, and thus ensure a sustainable recovery. and inclusive.
