The start-up Mburu has just benefited from a financial support of 243 million FCFA from the Fund for Strategic Investments (Fonsis) of Senegal. This envelope is the result of a partnership between Women's Investment Club (WIC) Senegal and WE! Fund to support local cereals in Senegal.

Mburu, the bakery brand, specialized in the production and marketing of breads, pastries and pastries based on local raw materials such as millet, maize, sorghum, seasonal fruits, has developed a distribution network based on women's groups in rural areas. The stzrt-up supports local cereal producers through income generation but also women present in production, processing and distribution.
For the founder of Mburu, Isseur Diop Sakho, this investment will make it possible to pursue the innovations that lie in the digitalization of production and marketing chains and is the first step towards a desire to extend throughout the national territory.
