The press release mentions that “the results of the six-month batch with one tenderer served brought 40,000,000,000 CFs (40 billion Congolese francs) to the Treasury, representing a coverage rate of the amount put in award of 100% at the accepted limit rate of 6.50% and a weighted average rate of 5.938% and the percentage awarded at the accepted limit rate of 100%.”
The same source mentions that the government plans to borrow a total of 320 billion Congolese francs (CDF), or about 160 million USD between October 1 and December 13, 2022 through the Ministry of Finance. The government plans to borrow 80 billion Congolese francs (FC), or about 40 million USD, on both segments of the local financial market for the month of December. A Treasury bill is a debt instrument issued by the State and repayable at maturity.
