On January 10, 2023, the Banque de l'Habitat du Sénégal (BHS) will pay the semi-annual interest and partially repay its bond called “Diaspora Bonds BHS 6.25% 2019-2024". It will have to invest an amount of 3.750 billion FCFA according to the announcement by the managing director of the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM).

The amount of 3.750 billion FCFA to be paid by the bank includes semi-annual interest of 416.666 million FCFA and a capital amortization of 3.333 billion FCFA. Indeed, the BHS is specialized in housing finance. From 16 May, she borrowed 20 billion CFA francs on the UEMOA financial market. Thus, it issued 2 million bonds with a nominal value and an issue price of 10,000 FCFA. These funds raised should allow the bank to build up long-term resources to finance the growth of jobs stimulated, among others, by the Diamniadio and Lac Rose Urban Cluster projects.
