The Bceao has published its "Monthly Bulletin of Statistics - March 2020". In the document consulted by the
Journal of the Senegalese Economy (Lejecos), the Bceao reviews the measures taken by the banks

The Bceao informs that during the month of March 2020, several Central Banks have lowered their rates

As for the Chinese Central Bank, it reduced its benchmark rate by 20 basis points to 2.2%. In this
as far as the European Central Bank is concerned, it should be pointed out that its rates were already zero at
the advent of Covid-19. The actions taken in the face of this crisis have consisted in particular of the implementation
place of a massive asset purchase program, "reveals the Bceao.
She adds that the Covid-19 crisis has also negatively affected the price of stock market indices

during the period under review.
