In the presence of the Minister in charge of Microfinance and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Zahra Iyane Thiam, the deputies adopted, in plenary session, a draft orientation law on the social and solidarity economy (SSE). With this new law, social entrepreneurs will be better freed from the inequalities created by the market economy system. According to Zahra Iyane Thiam this law will enshrine a certain innovation, namely "definition of terms in use in the sector, identification of the typology of actors and stakeholders of the SSE, the creation of tax and customs measures for the benefit of SSE actors". Returning to the spirit of this law, the minister stressed the need "to lift certain constraints" relating in particular to the absence of a "legal framework" to support the dynamism of the so-called informal economy.
