WorldRemit customers in more than 50 countries can now send money instantly to 10 new cash pickup points in Senegal. It is the result of the partnership between this company and Orabank.

WorldRemit, a leader in online money transfer services, has partnered with Orabank to enable instant money transfers to 10 new cash collection locations in Senegal. The two companies have signed a partnership in this direction. "WorldRemit saves its customers time and money because they don't have to pay high fees to a money transfer agent to send money home.

The company offers a variety of convenient ways to send money to Senegal, including bank transfer, instant cash withdrawal and phone credit top-up," reads a statement received by the Journal de l'économie sénégalaise (Lejecos).

The new partnership with Orabank expands WorldRemit's presence in Senegal, bringing the total number of collection points in the country to 3,900.

According to the document, Orabank offers individuals and businesses a range of convenient financial services, including savings, credit and money transfer. The bank serves 30,000 customers in its 10 branches and 112 points of sale across Senegal.

The World Bank estimates that Senegal received more than $2.2 billion in remittances in 2018, or more than 9% of its GDP. WorldRemit transfers to the country increased by more than 200% between 2017 and 2018.
