Organized by the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), through the Department of Economic Policies and Domestic Taxation, la Ré The ordinary union of the Regional Committee for Statistics (CRS) has started its work, since November 3, 2022, in Lomé. It concerns the examination of the 2021 statistical activity report of the Regional Statistical System (SSR).

The meeting is part of the regional coordination of statistical activities. It aims to examine the status of implementation of the recommendations of the last CRS meeting, the SSR's 2021 statistical activity report, as well as the regional statistical projects under preparation within member states.

During the four-day work, participants from the Union will share and discuss the implementation of the recommendations of the SSR 2021 statistical activity report with the various regional and national structures and the main actors concerned. The aim is also to take note of the progress of work on the preparation of the new PSR prepared by the CRS secretariat provided by the statistical centre of the Commission of the Union.
