Togo's attractiveness remains growing among international investors. After having already distinguished itself in 2019 as the most successful country in Africa in terms of promoting foreign direct investment (FDI), Togo stands out this time as the most successful nation in the world, relative to its size, to attract them. This is what fDi Intelligence concludes in its latest report on the fDi Greenfield 2020 Performance Index that has just been published.

"Togo is hitting above its size," says the magazine, which reveals that the country has surpassed the annual reading of the performance index for a new entrant with a score of 10.8, ahead of Rwanda and Costa Rica.

Togo attracted more than 10 times the amount of new FDI that could be expected, given the size of its economy. 11 investment projects were attracted in 2019 (best performance in the country), including those of Dangote Group, Amea Power or Majorel.
