"As regards the main raw materials exported by the EU countries, their prices showed contrasting developments, with year-on-year increases for gold (+21.4%) and  cacao (+13.9%)," the document reads.

On the other hand, prices were down for cashew (-41.5%), café (-13.2%), the  cotton (-12.2%) and rubber (-0.2%). As for import products, compared to the first quarter of 2019, prices were upwards for rice (+27.5%), edible oils (+16.3%) and wheat (+12.2%).

"On the regional stock market, the BRVM 10 index fell 26.1% at the end of March 2020 compared to its level at the end of March 2019. The market capitalization also fell by 17.6% over the same period, "reveals the same source.
