A pirate network has been dismantled following complaints. The pirates managed to steal more than one hundred million CFA francs from their victims through the manufacture of fake identity cards that allowed them to hack phone lines and empty Wave accounts and Orange Money of their victims.

The pirates were finally stopped by the policemen from the Colobane Research Section. According to information from The OBS, the complaints came both from Sonatel and from private individuals who were victims of thefts on their Wave and Orange Money accounts. Several weeks of spinning, cross-checking and financial analyses will be required to draw the contours and identify its pillars.

The four members arrested, were placed under arrest warrant. They are being sued for a battery of charges: criminal association, forgery and use of fake, spoofed lines, fraudulent access to computer systems, money laundering of capital. The police are actively looking for three other alleged members of the network, still on the run.
