A press release published last Monday, June 24 by the Communication Units of Former Presidents indicates that former Beninese presidents Nicéphore Soglo and Thomas Boni Yayi were visiting Niamey, capital of Niger.

Former heads of state Nicéphore Soglo and Thomas Boni Yayi left Cotonou for Niamey on Monday, in order to meet with the Nigerien authorities to try to find a solution to the crisis that is shaking the two countries. The press release mentions that the two former presidents wanted to meet the authorities of Niger who agreed.
