Customs in Morocco: revenue exceeds 100.7 billion dirhams in 2025

The recipes Morocco's net customs stood at more than 100.7 billion Dirhams (MMDH) at the end of December 2025, registering an increase of 9.1% by compared to the same period a year earlier, according to data published by the Kingdom General Treasury (TGR).

According to the bulletin Monthly Public Finance Statistics (BMSFP) of December 2025, revenue comes mainly from customs duties, taxes on value added (VAT) on imports and domestic consumption tax (TIC) applied to energy products. They take into account refunds, allowances and tax refunds in a total amount of 105 millions of Dirhams (MDH).

In detail, the net revenue from customs duties increased to MAD 17 billion by 6.6% over one year. For their part, net import VAT receipts amounted to MAD 63.25 billion, showing an annual growth of 8.2%. This However, evolution masks contrasting dynamics: VAT on products energy fell by 3.9%, while that on other products imports grew by 10.6%.

With regard to ICT on energy products, net revenue was more than MAD 20.47 billion, up 14.3% at the end of December 2025. This level includes refunds, allowances and tax refunds estimated at 61 MDH.

These performances reflect the good performance of customs revenues in 2025, in a context of resumption of trade and changes in import flows, confirming the role central role of customs taxation in the financing of the public finances of Kingdom.
