The major trends of the previous year of the 14 banks authorized in the Republic of Benin are published. It should be noted that subject to the validation of the auditors and the approval by the general meeting of the accounts of each financial institution, BIIC, BOA and Coris Bank International occupy the top three banks in Benin.

5 917 994 million FCFA, this is the total balance sheet as of 31 December 2022 of the 14 Banks authorized in the Republic of Benin. Indeed, BIIC is in first place with a total balance sheet of 999,796 million FCFA, and BOA Benin with 906,124 million FCFA in total balance sheet. Coris Bank International ended the year in third place with a total balance sheet of 717,954 million FCFA, Ecobank Benin is fourth with 665,118 million FCFA and finally Nsia Bank, 623,378 million FCFA. The CBAO and Sonibank close the deal with 20,330 (million FCFA) and 14,744 (million FCFA) respectively.

Analyses indicate a dynamic in the banking sector in Benin with the meteoric rise of the two recent banks on the market, namely BIIC and Coris Bank.
