A communication delivered to the Council of Ministers on Thursday 26 October 2023 mentioned that the 3rd edition of the Africa Financial Industry Summit (AFIS 2023), the African Financial Industry Summit, will be held from 15 to 16 November 2023 in Lomé. Nearly 1000 leaders in the African financial industry sector are expected to attend the event.

The African Financial Industry Summit offers a high-level exchange framework to develop solutions to financial sector challenges in order to build a more inclusive, more robust, more sustainable pan-African financial services industry. Thus, the President of the Republic requested the involvement of all members of the government to ensure the full success of the event. Several themes will be addressed, including financial digitalization, green finance, the issue of economic integration and the impact of inflation
