Alain Kablan Bushon Porquet, chocolate maker and creator of Bushman Café, organized the World Chocolaté Initiative Competition from November 02 to 05, 2023 in Abidjan. This is a competition between chocolate makers from Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire

The holding of the World Chocolate Initiative Competition in Côte d'Ivoire is a pretext to launch a debate on the chocolate production standards defined by European markets, so that African producing countries no longer content themselves with being cocoa suppliers but creators of fine chocolate. This initiative aims to create a framework that allows cocoa-producing countries to offer a global chocolate market based on product quality, traceability and, above all, a more inclusive value chain.
