The Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy Mamadou Sangofowa Coulibaly inaugurated the Lobo gold mine in the town of Doloa and in the Haut-Sassandra region on Saturday, November 11.

The Lobo gold mine, with an investment cost of 168 billion FCFA, has an annual gold production capacity of more than 03 tons over 09 years. The total production expected from this mine over these 9 years is therefore over 27 tons of gold. According to Minister Sangafowa-Coulibaly, the inauguration of new industrial gold mines, including that of La Lobo is the 3rd during this year 2023, and the 14th in the whole country.
